New SeaTec office in Fort Lauderdale, USA, aims to increase ESG service offering

SeaTec, the technical services arm of V., has expanded into the USA with a new office in Florida.

The office will support projects, consultancy and vessel refits for new and existing customers, with a particular focus on cruise lines and the leisure industry. These services will be in addition to SeaTec’s repair, communication and underwater vessel services and will form part of SeaTec’s sustainability brand V.ERDE – vessel emission reduction and decarbonisation enhancer – offering holistic ESG services.

Located in Fort Lauderdale, a short journey from Miami, the new SeaTec office makes use of V.’s existing presence in the Florida region by sharing an office space with Global Marine Travel (GMT), V.’s travel solution. Currently one project engineer is based at the new office, with plans to recruit more colleagues in the coming months.

Tino Rizzo, Managing Director of SeaTec, said of the new office:

“SeaTec’s new base in Florida means that we can focus on delivering retrofits for our customers in line with our commitment to decarbonisation and sustainability. We have a long track record of servicing the cruise industry and we hope that our presence in Fort Lauderdale will help us to increase our service offering in the USA and beyond.”
