After joining V.Group in 2007, Alessandro held overall responsibility for the offshore marine operations and crew management businesses as Director of V.Ships Offshore. In recent years, Alessandro was instrumental in creating offshore centres of excellence for V.Group across the globe, with the formation of specialised cells catering for particular asset types which meet regional content requirements and provide logistics support. In early 2020, Alessandro was appointed Chief Commercial Officer for V.Group’s Marine Services. In May of that year, he took on the interim role of Managing Director for SeaTec, responsible for all service lines including Projects & New Builds; Inspections, Repairs and Maintenance – including Navigation & Communication and Condition Monitoring – and Subsea operations.
A graduate in engineering, mechanical engineering and management, Alessandro has held various management positions at Saipem and Single Buoy Moorings.
Alessandro is based in Monaco.
Deputy Managing Director
Tino is Inspections, Repairs and Maintenance Director at SeaTec. He has worked for V.Group in various roles since completing his master’s degree in naval architecture and marine engineering at the University of Genova in 2014. In his current role, Tino is responsible for all of SeaTec’s inspection, repairs, navigation & communication and condition monitoring offerings.
Based in Monaco, Tino has line management responsibilities across multiple sites worldwide and is a regular traveller to the other SeaTec offices.
Administration and Resources General Manager
Ulrika joined SeaTec in 2010 and currently looks after the organisation’s admin and resources. She is based in Monaco.
Ulrika has a solid background in the shipping and maritime industry having previously worked for Silversea and Costa Crociere.
Managing Director for Underwater
Nick is a Chartered Civil Engineer who began his career working on the design of shipping terminals, offshore wind farms and O&G platforms. Since then, Nick has spent time managing the design and construction of marine and shore based civil engineering assets. Nick joined SeaTec Subsea in 2016 as a Project Manager overseeing a six month long corrosion protection and welding project. Nick then became the UK General Manager and in 2021 was promoted to Managing Director responsible for all global subsea operations.
Commercial Director Surya first joined V.Group in 2007 as a superintendent. He re-joined the company in 2013, working in a variety of roles including general manager, regional sales and marketing director and business development director before assuming responsibility for all of SeaTec’s commercial activity in 2019.
In addition to SeaTec, Surya’s background in the maritime industry includes appointments as a senior technical superintendent for Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement and Fleet Management Limited, as well as a chief engineer for a number of vessels.
Surya has a PhD in management from SR University in Rajathstan, an MBA and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and a P. E. He is based in Singapore.
John first joined SeaTec in 2014 as Commercial Manager for SeaTec’s Condition Monitoring business.
He rejoined the company in 2022 after a spell with ExxonMobil, in the Marine Lubricants division.
John has a commercial background in technical service provision to the oil and gas and merchant marine industries. John is considered a subject matter expert in used oil analysis, having worked in this field for over a decade.
John’s sales management philosophy is underpinned by customer service excellence and driving value for his clients.
In addition to John’s commercial background he is also a qualified project manager (APM), specialising in business change projects.
