Maintenance and Repairs: Scrubbers
At SeaTec, we keep scrubbers operating at a high level. Although the technology, design and quality of the scrubber are vital to its success, the way it is operated and maintained will have a decisive impact on its performance during its lifetime.
Recently, a group of SeaTec qualified technicians completed work on board Queen Mary 2, operated by customer Carnival UK, where they successfully identified issues and performed welding and repair works. This stopped the extension of the cracks inside two scrubber towers on board the vessel and replaced the old fresh water and sea water pipes with new ones.
